Katy Shamitz is a seasoned professional with expertise in counseling and education. She holds a Masters's degree in Counseling-School Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University, and a bachelor's degree in Education and Psychology from Stonehill College. With over two decades of experience in the field, Katy has dedicated her life to empowering young minds. Katy founded and served as the Executive Director for two heart-centered educational organizations on Boston's South Shore: Skills for Living and The Chapman Farm School. She has also worked as a School Guidance Counselor at Norwell Public Schools. Katy firmly believes that every child is born with a unique superpower, and all they need is a little love to reveal it. She is a charismatic public speaker, and her training sessions for parents, educators, and health and human service professionals are memorable. Katy is passionate about connecting kids with like-minded peers to help them grow socially and create opportunities for genuine friendship.
