Rick Segal is a 35-year industry veteran with a diverse background that combines experience in Government, Corporate, Venture, and start-up companies. A skilled software designer, Segal specializes in building top-tier products from the ground up and seeing them through to successful shipment.

During his career, Segal has held a variety of high-level positions at major companies such as Samsung Electronics and Blackberry. He has also founded his own start-ups, including FixMo, which was eventually absorbed by Blackberry, and Poseidon Ocean Systems, where he served as both Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

Segal has a passion for angel investing and serves as a member of the Campbell River Area Angel Group. In addition to his investment work, he has served on the boards of several other companies, including Xobni, Paymentus, HealthUnity Corporation, b5media, MusicIP, and Sirit.
