Her education includes a degree in Mass Communications, Linguistics, and Semiotics from Universidad Nuevo Mundo, A.C. as well as a Bachelor's in Linguistics and Semiotics from Universidad Anáhuac / Universidad Anahuac.

Throughout her career, Escandon has held various positions, including CEO Managing Partner, Creative Director at Leagas Delaney America, interior designer at Escandon Design, professor at UCLA Extension, and Owner, Director of Creative Services at Acento. She is also currently a writer/producer at The Other Truth Productions, showcasing her range in the film and television industries.
