Joseph Weber is a highly accomplished computer vision scientist and educator with an extensive career that spans over two decades. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, and has gained valuable postdoctoral experience working with big names in the industry such as Pietro Perona at CalTech. Joseph is a published author and has diverse experience in machine learning, computer vision, product marketing, and technology evangelism. He is an expert communicator who is comfortable speaking at public gatherings, and he has participated in regulatory and standards bodies.

Joseph is passionate about teaching and has been an Adjunct Lecturer at Santa Clara University. He is also a former Robotics Staff Engineer in Computer Vision for Dexterity, Inc., where he worked on creating some of the first passive optical cameras for object detection, 3D mapping, lane position tracking, visual odometry, and vehicle control. He has also served as a Senior Computer Vision Scientist at Point One Navigation, Director of Strategic Assessment for CableLabs, and CTO of the Operator Business Unit for TiVo. Additionally, Joseph has held positions such as Lead Systems Algorithm Engineer at Magic Leap, Principal Systems Algorithm Engineer in Computer Vision at Magic Leap, Business Development Manager at LSI Logic, and Product Marketing Manager at C-Cube Microsystems.

Aside from his professional experience, Joseph has a diverse academic background. He has an MBA in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder - Leeds School of Business, a Master's degree in Physics from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Notre Dame.
