Steve Bailey is an experienced leader and change facilitator with expertise in the education sectors. He studied at UCL and earned a BA in History from the University of Reading. Additionally, he has a Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring and a Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring from the Institute of Leadership and Management. Steve has held multiple positions at Jisc, starting as the Assistant Records Manager and moving up to become the Information Strategist and currently the Head of Consultancy. Before joining Jisc, he was the Team Leader (Archives & Records Management) at the University of Gloucestershire, and the Records & Information Manager and Senior Advisor (Records Management) at Jisc.

Steve is a qualified professional coach and mentor with a special interest in supporting leaders in the education sector. His approach focuses on creating a safe space for coachees to reflect on broader and deeper questions around motivations, challenges, strengths, and confidence-building. Steve also leads a team of specialist consultants who provide professional services to Jisc members and clients worldwide.
