Vinod Viswanathan is a highly accomplished technical leader and manager with expertise in distributed systems, web-scale architecture, public compute cloud, and large-scale media processing. He has a Bachelor's degree in Management & Information Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Vinod has held a number of management positions at companies such as Netflix, ZillionTV, and Optena Corporation. He is currently the Engineering Director of Media Cloud Engineering at Netflix, where he builds and nurtures exceptional engineering teams to deliver great products. Prior to that, he was the Engineering Manager of Content Platform Engineering and a software engineer at Netflix. He was also the Sr. Director of Software Engineering at ZillionTV and a software engineer at Radiance Technologies (Comcast).

Vinod is passionate about building and managing teams, and his work has been critical to the success of a number of high-profile projects. His experience in distributed systems and web-scale applications has been particularly relevant in the age of cloud computing.
