Andre Cardoso is a highly skilled product development engineer with a background in material and chemical engineering. He has over a decade of experience in research, development, and consultancy in various sectors, including medical technology, household, personal care, oil, gas, and water treatment engineering, fuel additives, automotive, airspace, defense, process engineering, customer service, tender application, and polymer discovery.

Before joining TE connectivity as a new product development engineer, Andre worked at CRIKEM and Bristol Zentraxa, where he led research efforts aimed at formulating sustainable, environmentally conscious, and high-performance additives for use in medical adhesives, advanced wound care, and other products. At Innospec, he held various roles, including chemical engineer, rheology, and thermal analysis global specialist, analytical chemist, customer technical support, lab supervisor, hazard/safety assessment, pre-plant manufacturing approval, and flow specialist.

With a strong passion for research and an excellent educational background, Andre has studied at various institutions across Europe, including K. U. Leuven in Belgium, Technische Universität Dresden in Germany, Institute of Lightweight Engineering, and Polymer Technology (ILK), and the University of Liverpool, where he received his doctoral degree in chemistry.

As a Staff R&D / New Product Development Engineer, Andre has gained significant expertise in team management, multidisciplinary application, and design thinking. He has excellent communication skills and speaks four languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, and German/Flemish. His publications and awards attest to his excellent technical abilities and creativity.
