Heather Rafter is a dual-qualified lawyer licensed under the laws of California and England & Wales with vast experience in managing an international law firm. She specializes in assisting companies in their global endeavors, offering general advice and representing clients from a variety of industries, including technology companies and those in the event planning space. Heather is the founder and principal at RafterMarsh US, a boutique law firm that offers services such as technology licensing, ecommerce/online contracting, intellectual property law, service agreements, and dispute resolution. Heather began her career as a litigator, defending media's first amendments rights and litigating cases involving software and intellectual property law with a large multinational law firm. Afterward, she served as General Counsel of Digidesign for fourteen years, where she grew not only the legal department but also a family of technology companies. Heather is passionate about her work and has been involved with various organizations such as Gobbler, BrightTALK, Sixense Entertainment, Inc., and Avid Technology. She has received numerous degrees, including a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, and an A.B. in Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.
