Susan Foosness is a behavioral health policy expert with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. With over 18 years of experience working with children and families, she has gained extensive knowledge in the integration of physical and mental health, education, criminal justice systems, child welfare, and the environment.

A graduate of Duke University with a Master of Public Policy and the University of Washington with a Master of Social Work, Susan has held various roles such as Senior Program Manager and Senior Business Operations Advisor at Blue Cross NC, Senior Consultant at Public Consulting Group, and Public Policy Intern at the North Carolina Foundation for Advanced Health Programs.

Susan's interests include addressing stigma, improving access, affordability, and quality, as well as the effects of trauma and ACEs. She is keen to develop programs that will help frontline behavioral health professionals be more successful in their work.
