Larry Saul

Dr. Larry Saul is a highly experienced Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist who has undergone training at the prestigious Payne Whitney Clinic-New York Presbyterian/Cornell.

With a strong background in teaching, Dr. Saul actively educates medical students, adult psychiatry residents, and child psychiatry residents in addition to his clinical practice.

Prior to establishing his private practice, Dr. Saul pursued a sub-specialty fellowship in parent/infant psychiatry, focusing on children under 5 years old. He also served as the medical director of a maternity residential center for pregnant teenagers.

Dr. Saul's treatment approach revolves around individual psychotherapy, parent guidance, and medication when necessary. He addresses a wide range of issues including behavioral problems, learning difficulties, attention disorders, developmental delays, sleep and eating disorders, anxiety, and depression.

Applying a systemic perspective, Dr. Saul considers family dynamics and stressors such as sibling births, parental separation or divorce, deaths, and medical illnesses in his practice. He specializes in assisting mothers dealing with post-partum blues and challenges arising from infancy through adolescence.

While Dr. Saul approaches most cases with psychotherapy and guidance, he does prescribe medications for severe symptoms. He values the potential benefits of medication but weighs them carefully against the possible risks for developing children.

His educational background includes a BA from Clark University and an MD from Tufts University School of Medicine.
