He is the founder of Sands Media Services, a boutique consultancy firm that specializes in designing and delivering bespoke training programs for news organizations and media outlets globally. With over three decades of experience in the media industry, Peter has earned a reputation as an expert in editorial consultancy, media training, and design. He has worked with some of the leading media companies and publishers across the globe, including DMGT, Local World, Press Association Training, and more. A former editor of The Northern Echo, a non-executive director of Northcliffe Media, and chairman of the judges in the Regional Press Awards, Peter is also a sought-after speaker and trainer, regularly delivering keynote sessions and workshops on media, journalism, and publishing. Peter has a degree in Journalism from Richmond College, Sheffield, and a BA (Hons) in Humanities, English Language, and Literature from Huddersfield Polytechnic.
