Julia Anne Buffinton is a highly skilled and collaborative data scientist with a broad range of experience in academia, research, and business. She holds a Master of Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley School of Information, where she honed her expertise in data science, machine learning, natural language processing, and research design for complex datasets. Julia has a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, Computer Science, and Cognitive Science from Cornell University.

Julia has worked in various settings, including LMI, where she currently serves as a data scientist. Previously, she worked as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Grants Network Manager at McAllister & Quinn, where she gained experience in knowledge management, business development, and process improvement. Before that, she was a Lab Manager at Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Lab, University of Maryland, and a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University and Bucknell University.

Julia is also involved in WVBR 93.5 FM, where she worked as Alumni Relations Director, Announcer, Assistant General Manager, and Communications Director. Her combination of skills and experience brings a unique perspective to the business sector, enabling her to deliver practical and actionable insights to diverse government customers.
