Lonich and Patton LLP's managing partner, Michael E. Lonich, boasts close to three decades of experience as a trial lawyer. He started his career representing various businesses and individuals but currently concentrates on business issues, probate, and estate planning. Michael is also available upon request to serve as a mediator or arbitrator, lending support for the company's family law practice. Although he traveled to attend college and law school, his roots are in the Santa Clara Valley where he grew up. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from the University of San Francisco in 1977, he went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1981. Michael returned to the valley to raise his family alongside his wife, Lisa. Together, they have three boys, Andrew, Ryan, and Michael, and live in Saratoga with their beloved dog, Crusader. He is a well-respected member of the legal community and is an active member of his parish at Sacred Heart. Michael leads the firm's Business section and Estate Planning group, focusing on helping businesses navigate the many legal challenges that they face. He is involved in corporate formation, governance, and litigation. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Defense Counsel, the Santa Clara Bar Association, and serves on the temporary judge and arbitrator panels of the Santa Clara County Superior Court. Mr. Lonich is licensed to practice before all California courts and the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and the Federal District Court for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.
