Jennifer Carreiro
Jennifer Carreiro is a skilled communicator with a passion for merging purpose with storytelling. With a background in communication and social responsibility, she has become an expert in managing internal and external communications as well as creating lasting positive change in society.
Jennifer started her career as a shoe service specialist at Wal-Mart and has since gone on to accomplish praiseworthy achievements such as Templeton Secondary School’s STEM program, creating and managing communications for significant change management projects, developing executive communications for SAP’s Autism at Work program, and significantly enhancing SAP’s reputation as an avid and effective community investor.
Currently working as the Integrated Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Labs Canada at SAP, Jennifer is a former Corporate Social Responsibility Lead and Vancouver Lead at the same company, where she developed partnerships with strategic community partners, coordinated CSR initiatives that bolstered SAP’s reputation in social investments, facilitated sustainability programs and served as the public relations manager (volunteer) for Sustainable Waterloo Region. In her tenure at SAP, Jennifer led the Autism at Work program, which explicitly recommended the need for neurodiverse talent in the workforce.
As an EcoHawks External Activities Executive (Volunteer) at Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union, Jennifer honed the ability to lead and manage external relationships, which are critical in her role at SAP today. Upon studying HonBA, Communication Studies, and Global Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, Jennifer served as Global Citizenship Conference (Volunteer) and Federal Election Committee Member (Volunteer).
