Eugene Hockenberry is an accomplished Sr Program Manager at AST & Science with extensive experience in engineering, management, and training for high-reliability products. With over 13 years of decorated Air Force Systems Engineer/Engineering Manager experience and four years in small private industry, he has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of program management, systems engineering, and government contracting/finance. Moreover, he has had the unique opportunity to work with large firms such as NASA, JPL, the European Space Agency, MIT, and other demanding customers. Additionally, his education includes an MS in Electrical Engineering with a BS in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and certifications from the Defense Acquisition University and as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR).

He has exceptional leadership skills, having managed over $250M/year programs, in-depth systems engineering activities, satellite and launch service experience, and daily interaction with all branches of service and intelligence agencies. He is also an Operations Director over Ops teams on nationally critical programs and has program management over international efforts.
