Scott Gehret, a seasoned developer with over 20 years of experience in software development, has announced that he is currently on medical leave on disability and will be stepping down from his role at Vanguard in June 2021. Throughout his career, Scott has shown a diverse skillset, covering all stages of the SDLC and engaging with various software development methodologies such as RUP and Agile (Scrum and Kanban). Scott’s field of expertise is in the development of Oracle databases in Customer Order, Supply Chain, and Law Enforcement systems. His strengths include problem-solving, documentation, Change Management, and Incident Management, as well as data analysis, ETL processing, and Agile methodologies. Scott has a solid background in numerous databases, including Oracle 7 to 11g, Firebird 2.5, MySQL, SQL Server 2008, MS Access 2007-2013, and Advantage 8,9 and 10.

Scott’s affinity for programming began at Arcadia University, where he studied Computer Science and achieved a 3.75 GPA. His professional language skills include SQL, PL/SQL, C#, Delphi scripting, Windows Batch Scripting, and DCL, among others. He also has a thorough educational understanding of Java, ASP, HTML, PHP, C, and C++.

During Scott’s career, he has worked with several notable organizations, including Vanguard, The Judge Group, Cody Systems, CountyOfBerks, The Framework Factory, IKEA North America Services, and West Coast Video.
