W. Patrick Wilson is a highly experienced senior policy leader with a background in international business development across the technology, manufacturing, and energy sectors. Currently, he serves as the corporate public policy and government relations leader for MediaTek Inc., a global fabless semiconductor company based in Taiwan. Throughout his career, Wilson has maintained significant involvement in governmental policies, technology, and national security, serving in both the US Army Reserve and Virginia Army National Guard. He started as staff assistant at the House Majority Whip's office, shifting eventually to legislative development as a legislative assistant and counsel for Rep. Vince Snowbarger (R-KS) at the US House of Representatives. In the US Senate, he served as legislative counsel for Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) before joining the House Committee on Small Business, where he worked as a coalitions director and senior counsel. He became the director of government affairs (labor policy) at Associated General Contractors of America before joining the Semiconductor Industry Association as their director of government relations. He worked as the director of government relations at Babcock & Wilcox, Cummins Inc., and the US Department of Commerce’s Office of Business Liaison. In addition to his varied career, Wilson pursued further education and earned degrees in Economics, International Studies, Law, and Leadership.
