Pekka Kimpimäki is a seasoned innovator, visionary, driver, and change-maker with over 20 years of experience in Digitalization & ICT, Portfolio & project management, Risk management, Change management, Knowledge management, Personnel development, Result & Budget responsibility, and Co-operation. He has a passion for digitalization/ICT, business development, change management, knowledge management, and leadership plus strong portfolio and risk management skills. He has an ability to work under pressure and make things happen, driven by seeking new ways. Pekka's current interests are enterprise architecture, data protection, and ICT governance model, plus home automation as a hobby.

Pekka studied IT management at Tampere University of Technology, Open University, M.Sc. (Econ. and Bus. Adm.), Knowledge Management and Leadership at Lappeenranta University of Technology, and M.Sc. (Tech.), System engineering and software engineering at Tampere University of Technology. He also studied at the School of Management at the University of Tampere, and Software Business Management at Tampere University of Technology / Edutech.

Pekka is currently the Head of Development, ICT and Digital Services at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. He has formerly served as a Board Member at ICT Leaders Finland ILF, and taken study leave at LUT, knowledge management and leadership master’s programme. He has served as a Consultant (Management), Director, Global R&D Expert Centers, Manager, Global R&D Resources, Manager, Development Group, and Project Manager at Metso Automation. He has also served as a Software Development Manager, Project Manager, and IT Designer at Intrinsic Oy.
