Sly Lee
Sly Lee is a first-generation Asian American entrepreneur who co-founded and co-CEOs Emerge, a virtual reality company based in Los Angeles, California. The company is working on building a platform that allows people to feel touch in virtual reality, eliminating the need for wearables. Lee is passionate about creating a future where time and distance are no longer barriers to feeling present. He is also the co-chair of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council for AR/VR (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality). His past experiences in developing countries, founding an ocean education non-profit organization called The Hydrous, and receiving a Google Full Tuition Scholarship in 2015 have impacted his entrepreneurial journey.
Lee studied for a Graduate Studies Program funded by NASA and Google X Experiment and obtained his Master of Science (M.S.) in Environmental Toxicology. Additionally, he was a Marine Technologist at the National Park Service. Lee has received multiple awards, including the Young Alumni Award in 2019.
