Karyn Ellis is a talented singer-songwriter hailing from Toronto, Canada with an impressive track record in the music industry. With a brand new album More Than A Hero that was just released at the end of 2013, Karyn has been building her reputation as a solid and insightful writer with a charming presence on stage. She has a broad and varied skill set, having managed herself through her company Mathilde's Home Productions, wearing many hats such as booking agency, tour managing, creative, marketing and online presence development.

Karyn has studied at the Songwriter's Workshop at Humber College as well as completed the RAM Diploma in Arts Management with honors at Harris Institute. With her experience, she has been invited to be a teacher's assistant for Producing & Engineering at Harris Institute, a tutor in Math, receptionist, web manager, and graphics specialist.

Karyn has shared the stage with an array of accomplished performers such as Geoff Berner, Little Miss Higgins, Annabelle Chvostek, Justin Rutledge, and Madison Violet, and has performed at various venues, including the New Waves Festival in conjunction with Luminato, Edmonton’s NextFest, Waynefest, and the Peterborough Music Festival Main Stage. Her albums have charted on campus radio both nationally and regionally, and her music has been acclaimed and playlisted internationally. She has even lent her voice to several recording projects for other artists.

Karyn's music has been featured on TV shows and films across the globe such as "Degrassi: The Next Generation," "Robson Arms," "Happy Fridays," and "What is Indie." Despite her DIY approach, Karyn is open to expanding her working team and delegating some of her responsibilities so that she can focus more on her music.
