Craig McLuckie is a renowned entrepreneur and innovator in cloud and enterprise software, having served as the VP R&D at VMware and CEO and Founder of Heptio. With a passion for reducing the complexity of building and operating IT systems, Craig is most famously known for co-founding the Kubernetes project while serving as an original product lead for Google Compute Engine. He also worked as a QA Developer at Trilogy and held multiple positions as a Lead Program Manager at Microsoft before conceiving, bootstrapping, and chairing the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Craig holds a degree in Masters of Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
