Brent Mizzen
Brent Mizzen is an accomplished professional with a strong background in economics and policy development. He holds a Masters of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo and a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Western University. Brent has a wealth of experience in the insurance industry, having served as the Assistant Vice President of Market Conduct Policy and Regulation at the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association. Prior to that, he held various roles within the organization, including Assistant Vice President of Underwriting and Policy, and Director of Policy Development.
Before his tenure at the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association, Brent Mizzen worked in prominent positions within the Canadian government. He served as a Senior Project Leader in the Pensions and Capital Markets Policy division at Finance Canada, where he demonstrated his expertise in financial sector policy. Additionally, Brent held the role of Senior Economist at both the Mackenzie Gas Project Office in Industry Canada and the Payments and Pensions division within the Financial Sector Policy Branch at Finance Canada. He also gained valuable experience as a Tax Policy Officer at Finance Canada.
