Augustina (Tina) Mensa-Kwao, MPH, CHES®, is a public health professional with over seven years of experience in the private and public sectors and academia. She has worked globally and locally on mental health, chronic disease, HIV/AIDS prevention, maternal and child health, and COVID-19 projects. Her expertise includes qualitative data analysis, research methods, evaluation, and project management. Augustina is passionate about addressing gaps in health equity, mental health care, and increasing access to quality health services, particularly in low-resourced settings.

Augustina has advanced Excel skills and proficiency in R, as well as qualitative analysis platforms like MAXQDA and Atlas. She is interested in global health-focused strategy and management roles. In addition to her work in public health, Augustina is also a career coach with Chilombo Global Career Services LLC, a career development platform that focuses on improving job competitiveness through curating career resources and providing services such as resume and cover letter revamps.

Augustina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience & Global Public Health from the University of Virginia, a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education (BSHE) from Emory University, and is currently studying for her Doctor of Philosophy in Global Health Implementation Science at the University of Washington. In addition to being a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®), she has received numerous honors and awards in recognition of her academic and professional achievements.

Augustina's experience includes project management and partnership mobilization, stakeholder mapping, engagement, and analysis, training staff and partners on data management processes, tools, and skills, and community-engaged work facilitating health education projects and problem-solving to address data challenges at all levels of the health system. She has extensive experience working with global populations, providing input on indicator development and reporting processes, collaborating with research partners to implement and monitor interventions and programs, and grant writing and cooperative agreement process management. Augustina also has knowledge of Global Mental Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, Adolescent Health, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights, and HIV/AIDS.
