I design and build robots that can cook delicious food in intelligent ways.

Built a robotic restaurant from the ground up. From low-level/embedded systems and communications to high-level planning, perception and AI. Built and grew a cross-functional team of software, electrical and hardware engineers. Developed an automation strategy centered on using off-the-shelf robot arms and commodity hardware combined with advanced software and machine learning to build scalable, robust robotics systems. Pioneered cloud robotics solutions for iterative development, AI, testing, monitoring and remote operation. Developed several novel methods for human-in-the-loop remote operation of autonomous systems.

Built and managed a scalable big data system for ingesting and analyzing large quantities of sensor data from around the world and applying state of the art machine learning algorithms. 

Systems included large-scale and aggregated databases, RESTful APIs for accessing aggregated data and responsive mobile and web apps for viewing and interacting with the data. System features novel architectures for integrating big data systems and state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for error detection, prediction and more.

Marquee is a location-based, incentive-driven mobile platform that allows performing artists to directly reward fans for attending their concerts.

The Marquee mobile platform allows fans to check-in to a show through their smartphone or social media accounts, and instantly receive exclusive content – such as music downloads, free-tickets to upcoming shows, and exclusive interactive experiences with the artist.

I am the lead and (currently) only developer for Marquee. My duties include architecting, developing and tuning our 3 core platforms:

1) "The Cloud" - intelligent and robust RESTful web services that each of the Marquee client applications consume and run off of
2) The App - a native iOS app (http://marquee-mobile.com/) for users of Marquee
3) The Web App - an HTML5-based javascript application that allows us to manage the content on Marquee. Shortly, this will be opened up for public use by artists and venues so that they can add/edit information about their own events

As Marquee is an agile, lean, fast-moving startup, my development strategies for Marquee also embody these principles. I do this by embracing the principles from the Agile Software methodology, developing in a fast-moving, iterative and incremental manner.
