Implementation and maintenance of a detailed equities database (on excel) for all index listed stocks in the GCC and Egypt markets (approx 500 over entities). This database contains updated financials and corporate actions, which provides the function of real-time valuation (database is macro-linked to the Bloomberg system) of the index listed equities, as well as a sectoral ranking sheet of equities within each market based on key ratios. This database template can be utilized for any equity market thus having the potential of establishing a very comprehensive backbone for analysis and advisory.

Assisting in managing both the Discretionary Portfolio of AED120million AUM and the Islamic Equity Fund of AED550 million AUM. Thereby engaged in trading and making decisions in taking strategic positions within the Fund during the absence of the fund manager and the discretionary portfolio of $30mil that is UAE focused. Strategies include, value investing, swing trading and other short-term trading strategies.

Supporting of retail and institutional traders of OCBC Securities by providing technical & fundamental analysis on Singapore equities and global indices

Spearheaded the Structured Warrants Report project, which successfully commenced in 2006. This was the 1st of its kind in Asia for this equity derivative product. I generated the analysis and reports which chalked up a 71% accuracy rate for 06. Analysis and recommendations for the Structured Warrants Report covered Singapore and Hong Kong markets.

Conducted regular in-house training for traders as well as seminars for OCBC Securities clients and prospects on the subject of technical analysis and Market forecasts. External seminars were conducted at SGX and the National University of Singapore.

Investment advisor to OCBC Private Banking on global equities, commodities and currency markets.
Carried out weekly presentations to Private Banking Relationship Managers, forecasting the future movements on various asset classes. As well as contributing to the daily private banking report on analysis of global markets and various asset classes.

On an ad-hoc basis I conducted special situations reporting to the Private Banking Relationship Managers on investment opportunities that arise in the equity markets.

I sat on the OCBC Wealth Management committee, which met once a month to generate a forecast for the global markets across all asset classes. This forecast is scripted and released to Relationship Managers in Private and Privilege banking.
