Assistant Manager Of Product Development

Product Development Coordinator

- Responsible for sample organization, creation and maintenance of tracking charts and product masters library
- Track and organize vendor matrix maintenance, in addition to any other tasks required
- Assist in the product development process from new product initiation to completion of production for all new product launches and reformulations (3-5 Projects in eye category per season)
- Brief vendors on COG targets and timing to suppliers for full turnkey assembly and request quotations based on estimated forecasting and MOQs
- Manage the tracking of new competitive innovations both mass and prestige
- Support AVP of Product Development to collaborate with cross functional teams (creative, sales, marketing, operations, and regulatory) for product launch strategies and execution
- Support AVP of Product Development in participating in the identification of needs for new products; approving all materials developed in support of programs; reviewing, editing, and approving all copy; ensuring legal requirements are met for product names and product claims
- Have a keen awareness of trends consumer feedback and competitor activity in order to recommend color shades formula and provide research to help facilitate product innovation
- Partner with beauty bloggers and brand marketing and sales to build pipeline of innovation for professional makeup artists and consumers
- Engage and actively participate in the world of social media to include Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube etc. to ensure the execution of exciting and fun social content aligned with our marketing and brand messaging
- Attend industry conferences and lectures to keep informed of new product packaging directions and trends (MULA)
- Keep abreast of worldwide competitive activity by completing monthly product alerts, quarterly and yearly competitive reviews and presenting in depth findings and trends to management

- Manage product development projects through all phases of development ensuring deadlines are     met and product launches occur in a timely manner
-  Responsible for the Master Data and maintaining the product library 
-  Assist with competitive research, trend forecasting, and brainstorming new innovation
-  Work collaboratively to utilize trends and knowledge of competitive landscape to identify gaps and conceive new product and artwork ideas
-  Evaluate lab samples and give directions to vendors
-  Attend Trade Shows and offsite vendor meetings to research new product ideas
-  Participate in cross-functional meetings to drive the new launch process
-  Assist in developing marketing stories behind each product for social media posts
-  Track and ship samples domestically and internationally
-  Other duties as assigned by management, Pro Artistry, Social Media and Marketing

Product Development Associate

- Organize, maintain, and support brand product library with product development retains and vendor presentation products.
-  Research and brainstorm trends for new products for upcoming year and purchase needs of production team.
-  Track, label, ship any new projects and benchmarks for new projects by vendor and log all incoming and outgoing packages.
