Katie Chaney, a successful startup veteran and entrepreneur, has recently taken on a new challenge - opening Hester General Store, a bakery, as her professional destination. Katie has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art History and German from Wofford College, which equipped her with a diverse set of skills and a passion for creativity. With a background primarily in human resources, she gained experience as an HR generalist at SpareFoot, HR manager at Digital Pharmacist Inc., and HR Talent Manager at GridWorks IC. Katie's entrepreneurial spirit led her to start her own company, BetterGrowth, where she served as founder and SVP of Client Strategy. She also formed BreakoutCS, Brickpdx, and served as Executive Assistant at IES Abroad. As a new mother in the pandemic era, Katie found time to reevaluate her career path and pursued her dream of opening a bakery. With her extensive experience in managing people, her passion for baking, and her strong entrepreneurial spirit, Katie aims to run Hester General Store with great success and to bring joy to her customers.
