Joana Fontes is a highly creative individual with a diverse background in journalism, graphic design, illustration, and printmaking. She graduated in Graphic Design at ESAD.CR, where she developed a passion for analog photography, illustration, and printmaking. Joana has also studied journalism in Lisbon and did an Erasmus program in Poland. Additionally, she has completed a Technological Specialization Course in Graphic Illustration from ESAD.CR, ending with an internship at Oficina do Cego - Associação de Artes Gráficas (Lisbon), where she developed an interest in traditional typography.

Joana started her career as a Junior Graphic Designer in Austria and Bulgaria before returning to ESAD.CR for her Specialization Course in Graphic Illustration. She is currently working as a Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer, and her work has been featured in several exhibitions, including 10+7 and 12x12. Moreover, she has participated in various group exhibitions such as É a Tinta a Fritar!. Joana is a member of Oficina Do Cego- Associação de Artes Gráficas.

Joana's work demonstrates a strong sense of color and composition, often featuring vibrant shades and bold patterns. She is skilled in various media, including watercolor, pen and ink, and printmaking. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring nature, which often serves as a significant source of inspiration for her work.
