Typical duties:•	Developed aging criteria for previously unaged fish species.•	Presented the results of research on Rougheye Rockfish at the Proceedings of the 1992 Western Groundfish Conference (NOAA).  Title of the presentation was “Age Determination and Growth of Rougheye Rockfish (Sebastes aleuianus) by the Surface and Break-And-Burn Methods of Otolith Reading” by Shelly R. Jay and Daniel H. Biological information was taken for each targeted species.•	 In 1989 worked for the Coastal Zone and Estuary Studies branch of the National Marine Fisheries Service performing electrophoresis tests on Northwest salmon species for stock identification.
