Seth Colby
Seth Colby is a highly educated and experienced economist with a focus on international development and philosophy. Colby obtained his Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Arts degrees from The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis.
Throughout his career, Colby has worked in a variety of positions, including Tax Research and Planning Officer at the State of Hawaii, Private Sector Economist at the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), and Economic Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank. Colby has also held several academic positions, including Executive Director of the Leadership Academy for Development and Executive Director of the Schwartz Forum on Constructive Capitalism at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Additionally, Colby has volunteered with the Peace Corps and worked as a consultant for the Social Financial Services Department at Ashoka. In his spare time, he has conducted research as a Pesquisador Visitante at the Centro Brasileiro de Relações Internacionais.
With a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors, as well as in academia, Colby is able to draw from a broad range of skills and expertise in his work as an economist.
