Jeremy Leipzig is a bioinformatics engineer, developer, and PhD candidate in information science. With a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wake Forest University, he has also earned a Master of Computer Science from North Carolina State University. He has an extensive background in pipeline development, metadata, genomics, and reproducible research.
Leipzig has held positions at several prestigious institutions. He was a former Doctoral Student at Drexel CCI Metadata Research Center, a Bioinformatics Engineer at Panorama Medicine, and a Sr. Scientist at CytoVas. He has also worked as a Bioinformatics Software Developer at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a Bioinformatics Programmer at DuPont.
Leipzig's teaching experience includes being an Adjunct Instructor at Drexel University College of Computing & Informatics and a Teaching Assistant for Programming For Biology at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.He was also the Founder & Organizer of the Philadelphia R User Group. He has also authored books for O'Reilly & Associates.
Currently, Leipzig is the Content Lead at Truwl. With his expertise and knowledge, he has made significant contributions to the bioinformatics field.
