Allyson Byrd is a highly educated bioinformatics scientist with extensive experience in research and development within the biotechnology industry. She holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Boston University and a B.S. in Genetics from The University of Georgia. Byrd has worked for companies and research organizations throughout her career, including Genentech, the National Human Genome Research Institute, and the Center for Tropical and Emerging Global Diseases. Her education and experience demonstrate her expertise in genetics, bioinformatics, and biological research.

Byrd has served as a course assistant for Biology of Parasitism at Marine Biological Laboratory and has held summer internships at the National Institutes of Health and Hospital Civil Dr. Luis F. Nachon, Xalapa. Her research experience is vast and extends to many areas, including clinical and translational research, infectious diseases, and parasitology. Currently serving as a Scientist at Genentech, Byrd is highly skilled in data analysis, DNA sequencing, genome assembly, and other scientific research techniques.
