Nitisha Agrawal

Nitisha Agrawal is a seasoned communications professional with over 17 years of experience in retail brand communications, public relations, business development, and social media marketing. She has worked with leading global brands such as Skoda, Volkswagen, and Marico. Her passion for the mountains and trekking led her to an encounter that changed her life. She quit her corporate job as Head of Communications with Volkswagen India in November 2016 and joined the Himalayan Rocket Stove team, which designs clean energy cookstoves. Her current journey focuses on developing impact-driven social and clean energy projects. She leverages her extensive experience in communication, marketing, social media, content development, business development, and networking to create maximum value and favorable impact. She established the Smokeless Cookstove Foundation that aims to eradicate indoor pollution in Indian rural kitchens through a zero-cost clean cooking solution. Nitisha has also studied sustainable development and solutions from leading institutions such as Columbia University's Earth Institute and the Earth Charter International's center for education for sustainable development. Moreover, she is an Earth Charter follower and has completed their programs in Education in Sustainable Development and Ethical Leadership in Sustainability. Nitisha also conducts outdoor experiences focusing on sustainability and nature appreciation for children and young adults through her project - Children of Tribe.
