Bart Patterson

Bart Patterson is a distinguished individual with a rich background in law, having served in both private and public sectors. Currently, he holds the prestigious position of President at Nevada State College. With a deep commitment to enhancing higher education opportunities in Nevada, Bart aims to make a positive impact on the student community and regional growth. Bart is a proud parent of three children who have been associated with Nevada's public higher education institutions. His love for outdoor activities is evident through his participation in the 52 Peak Club hiking adventures across Nevada. Bart also appreciates the multicultural flair of Las Vegas and Henderson, along with the opportunity to explore diverse cultures through travel. Engaging with the philanthropic community, Bart collaborates with numerous non-profit organizations to foster community development. Bart's notable board affiliations include roles in various influential bodies like the Association of State Colleges and Universities, Dress for Success Southern Nevada, Got Core Values, Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Connections, and Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG). Bart's academic journey includes a J.D. in Law from Duke University School of Law and a B.S. in Political Science from Utah State University. Prior to his current role, he served as the Vice Chancellor and Chief Counsel at the Nevada System of Higher Education.
