Ed Alessio is a seasoned technical leader with a wealth of experience in software and architecture on various cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Watson & Google Cloud. He has worked in both startup and enterprise environments in roles such as Vice President Data Science and Cloud Platforms Engineering at PIMCO, Sr. Cloud Product Architect at Actian, Sr. Cloud Architect at IBM, Principal Cloud IoT Architect at Rockwell Automation, and Sr. Manager for Mobile & Cloud Solutions at Dell. He also founded two companies, uFollowit and TVirtual, and worked as a research staff member at Columbia University. Ed Alessio is passionate about PaaS and SaaS, IoT, big data analytics, machine learning, smart logistics, and smart manufacturing. He has strong relationship-building skills, talent attraction, and retention skills, as well as being creative, organized, and analytical. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming and cycling.
