Dave Neary is an experienced technology professional with a passion for free software and community collaboration. With a degree in Engineering from Dublin City University and Computer Science from the National University of Ireland, Galway, Dave has worked in various roles throughout his career. He has been a software developer, project manager, community development manager, and more.

Dave is known for his expertise in understanding the dynamics of free software communities and helping organizations navigate the complexities of license compliance and community development. He has served as a Community Architect at Red Hat and previously held board positions at the Community for Open Source Microfinance, GNOME Foundation, and Yorba Foundation, among others. Dave founded Neary Consulting and led community development efforts at Wengo and OpenWengo.

In addition to technology, Dave is also passionate about education and has studied primary education at Bangor Erris NS. He is committed to bringing complex projects to completion and works tirelessly to understand how users adopt technology and engage with collaborative communities.
