Erin Downey

Erin Downey has a diverse range of experiences in the fields of writing, editing, and content creation. She is a skilled wordsmith who has capabilities in storytelling, research, and building digital content. Downey graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2012 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media Production. Soon after graduation, she started working as a Content Producer at Midcontinent Communications in Kansas City, where she worked on various projects such as writing, editing, and managing company newsletters, social media, and web content.

In 2016, Erin moved to Springfield, Missouri, to work as a Multimedia Journalist at KY3, where she worked on creating daily news content, shooting and editing photos and videos for the station’s website and social media platforms. There she helped to develop multimedia content for the television station, produced documentaries and promotions, and worked on covering breaking news stories.

Erin is currently working as a freelancer and has expertise in developing social media campaigns, effective press releases, and brand messaging for small business owners. She is also proficient in utilizing communication and project management applications such as Trello, Asana, and Slack.
