Ingrid Valou is an accomplished public relations professional with a passion for intersectional inclusivity in economic models. She currently leads communications and media relations at Vancouver Economic Commission, while also running her own small-scale fine jewelry and custom design brand in Chinatown. In addition to her work in PR, Ingrid is also an active member of the arts and culture community, having served on multiple boards and currently holding the position of president of the Vancouver Metal Arts Association. She holds a certificate in Public Relations from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Creative Writing from The University of British Columbia. Her expertise in marketing and communications has been recognized with awards from both the CPRS and STORYHIVE.
