Ryan Adelman is an accomplished commercial leader with over 15 years of experience building businesses in the energy and transportation markets. With a BA in English and Philosophy from DePaul University and an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Ryan has a well-rounded set of skills and knowledge. Throughout his career, Ryan has developed a strong focus on the intersection of electric transport, smart buildings, and the electricity grid, working with companies positioned to capitalize on this dramatic and complex market transformation.

Ryan's experience includes building a multi-hundred-million-dollar distributed energy services business in North America, including solutions across the energy spectrum such as solar, energy storage, CHP, VPP, DR, wholesale energy trading, and energy analytics. He has also worked with several early-stage energy technology companies, helping to commercialize IP, scale operations, build partnerships, and raise capital.

Ryan currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development at Phoenix Energy Technologies, where he works with companies serving Commercial and Industrial customers with energy data analytics and IoT-enabled applications.
