Charles Hymas is a versatile journalist whose thirty years of experience in the field have allowed him to make a significant impact. Currently serving as the Home Affairs Editor for The Daily Telegraph, he is at the forefront of the newspaper's Duty of Care campaign, advocating for social media and gaming companies to take more responsibility for online harms. Hymas started his career at the South Wales Argus, where he covered general news and education. He then moved on to roles such as Education Correspondent at The Sunday Times, where he authored Guides to the National Curriculum and How to Choose a School. As Deputy Insight Editor, he oversaw award-winning investigations into topics such as Cash for Honours and Fifa and Doping in Sport. As Managing Editor (News), Hymas led campaigns such as the Young Minds campaign on mental health and the Clean Air campaign on pollution from diesel cars.
