- PUNCTURE POINTS - Where energy meets the every day' is an interdisciplinary art project that explores the intersection of energy and everyday life at the Western Cape, South Africa.

PUNCTURE POINTS is commissioned by Burgan Cape Terminals, which constructed a 118.000 m3 Diesel and Petrol storage terminal in the port of Cape Town. Interest emerged in developing an art project that would involve the art communities in the Western Cape.

Mullens - Wentges transformed BCT’s request for an artwork on the storage facility into a socially sensitive project, which involved collaboration with local artists of different backgrounds and created awareness of the relationship between energy and everyday life in the Western Cape.

GET LOST develops art projects in public spaces by partnering municipalities, organizations and local stakeholders with young and established artists.

GET LOST serves as mediator between institutions, organizations, curators and artists. Its task is to monitor the autonomy and quality of the artwork, while safeguarding the needs of the participating stakeholders.

Cecile Wentges maakt ruimtelijke installaties die een vanzelfsprekendheid of ogenschijnlijke alledaagsheid expliciet en bijzonder maken. Ze spoort onzichtbare verbanden op en legt deze op een poetische en humoristische manier bloot. Haar werk geeft hierdoor een opening om anders naar je eigen omgeving te kijken, om haar beter te waarderen en zelf weer nieuwe verbanden te ontdekken.
