Allan Boruchowicz
Allan Boruchowicz is a seasoned investor and entrepreneur with over eight years of experience working with startups and early-stage investment. Allan is the founder and managing partner of Carao Ventures, an investment firm that focuses on investing in SaaS, biotech, fintech, AI, healthtech, mobile technologies, e-commerce, and food & beverage industries. Allan founded Carao Ventures in 2014 and led the company's investments in Huli, Slidebean, Speratum, BildTEK, Singularities, GoPass, and GoPato. He is also a general partner of Carao Ventures Fund I, LP.
Prior to founding Carao Ventures, Allan worked as an Associate at Mesoamerica Investments, a leading M&A advisory and private equity firm in Central America and the Andean Region. Allan's professional experience also includes investment portfolio management at UBS Wealth Management US.
Allan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honors in Finance & Economics from Babson College. He also attended ESADE Business School, where he studied Corporate Finance and Intl. Economics and London School of Economics and Political Science, where he studied Development in the International Political Economy.
In addition to his professional experience, Allan has served on several boards of directors, including Huli, Banco BCT, Singularities, Speratum, Slidebean, BildTEK, GoPato, and Seguros LAFISE Costa Rica.
