Dean Pomerleau

Dean Pomerleau is a highly skilled research scientist with extensive knowledge and experience in developing and commercializing advanced sensing algorithms and man-machine interface technology. He is a recognized expert in the fields of image processing, algorithm development, brain-computer interfaces, man-machine interfaces, robotics, automotive active safety systems, strategic IP protection, project management, and startup business development.

Dean earned his PhD in Computer Science & Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University and his BA in Computer Science, Economics, Psychology at Williams College. He has worked in various organizations throughout his career, including Intel Labs Pittsburgh, Cognex Corporation, AssistWare Technology, and Carnegie Mellon University.

Dean is the founder and Chief Fish Trainer at Fish School, where he used his knowledge of animal behavior and modern training techniques to teach fish various tricks. In his previous roles, Dean was responsible for directing R&D for vehicle vision systems and developing assistive technology for individuals with disabilities.
