This is done through the creation of lively energetic meetings  and the provision of support to my group team by helping them execute their roles, and promoting meetings to other Passporters and visitors, and by communicating challenges back to the Area Leader.

The Diana Award Mentoring Programme pairs volunteer mentors with disengaged young people to give them an insight into the world of work and career skills training. As a Mentor I work alongside a Youth Facilitator helping to guide a group of young people (aged 12-15) through fortnightly group sessions over a six month period. The Diana Award programme places a strong emphasis on social action. As a mentor, I work with students to help them develop a campaign around a social issue that affects their community. As a Mentor I also help young people to be better prepared for their post-secondary future whilst also instilling a sense of active citizenship.

As Regional Director, I organise a monthly networking event called Coffee & Natter for businesses across the areas of Bromsgrove and Redditch in the area of South Birmingham and North Worcestershire. Our events are free to attend and encourage businesses to build long term relationships with each other as well as develop through guest speakers and offline and online social media interaction.The first of these events is scheduled for 1st December 16. This was an extremely varied appointment, involved with the delivery of training courses to business clients both at Activia’s centres and on client premises all over the UK. Courses frequently require bespoke tailoring to customer requirements, and this often involves pre- and post-course consultation as part of achieving measurable skills improvements.I also had a significant involvement in the ongoing development of Activia’s course library across their full range of Business Skills courses, having redesigned and developed from scratch a suite of 35 management skills training courses, 21 of which have successfully received the endorsement of ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) ensuring quality in terms of development, delivery and evaluation.

Skill Centre Manager	I was responsible for the setting up and initial running of an IT resourcing centre being responsible for the provision of all internal and external resources required to ensure that IT related projects within DHL Europe and Africa were completed on time and to budget. Achieved a reduction of the contractor usage by 40%, this was achieved through the implementation of systems that allowed for better identification of skills amongst the IT population: The improvement in the ability of DHL to manage their own IT projects: The development and integration of an IT technical career path into the competency model mentioned below.Employee Development Manager	I was the sole HRD specialist within an organisation of 700 personnel and responsible for the setting up of an Employee Development Department and the implementation of a graduate training programme as well as the design and tutoring of various courses that meet identified business requirements. I developed and implemented a competency based organisational structure, enabling the organisation to become more succinct and manageable, with 373 Job Descriptions being replaced with 33 roles descriptions and being supported by 23 competencies against which personnel can be recruited, promoted and rewarded.  This in turn led to the implementation of a structured career development and succession planning process. Training ConsultantResponsible for the development and implementation of training strategies and policies that supported DHLs multi-million pound organisational change program, ensuring that  employees in 70 countries involved, had the skills to ensure that new technology added value to the business from the earliest opportunity.

Principal Training and Staff Development OfficerResponsible for the management of a multi-cultural team consisting of 4 Training Officers and one Administration Officer, providing a professional training and development service to 5000 employees of 31 nationalities, at eight locations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with business plans and BAe policy including, co-ordination of all training and staff development activities for company employees of all nationalities, research and design of new in house courses to meet identified training needs and business requirements, the administration and facilitation of the succession planning and career development processes within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia along with the design and establishment of appropriate systems to support such processes, the development of a Training and Staff Development Business plan A key achievement during this time was the establishment, development and implementation of policies and processes in support of various Saudi National training schemes, including the Saudi National Graduate and Business Administration training schemes. This enabled BAe to meet government ‘Saudisation’ requirements and become a leading figure in the training of Saudi personnel.Senior Training and Staff Development OfficerBased at a remote location I was responsible for the setting up of an independent training department and providing a training and development service to 1500 personnel within the Riyadh area of Saudi Arabia, with Kingdom wide responsibility for the organisation's distance learning and computer training programmes, Management Training OfficerResponsible for the design, implementation and tutoring of courses in all areas of management training and skills development. A major achievement during this period was the design, and delivery of Total Quality Management programmes to 5000 employees in support of the organisation's total quality initiative and EFQM aspirations.
