Honbo Zhou is a renowned software industry professional with over 25 years of experience working in both the US and China. Zhou has held various senior roles in notable companies such as IBM, BEA, and Silicon Valley start-ups. He has also been the Chief Software Scientist of TsinghuaTongfang, the second largest system integrator in China, and the GM of Foton Fleet Telematics Company. Furthermore, he is the founder and CEO of UbiLink and the Director of Boards of Qingdao Haier and Hangbang High-tech.
Zhou is also a published author, having written the book "The Internet of Things in the Cloud," which was published by Taylor and Francis in 2012.
Zhou's specialties include Middleware/Businessware, M2M/IoT software and vertical applications, HPC, Grid/Cloud Computing, SaaS, Internet of Things, Telematics, Fleet Management, Mobile Resource Management, and more. Zhou has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Zurich and an EBMA from the University of Texas.
Zhou is a member of various industry and academic associations, including the MIIT SI association, and VP of China's Middleware Association. He is also an adjunct professor at UESTC in Chengdu and Beijing Jiao-tong University.
