He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Nottingham Trent University and exhibits proficiency in various tools and software, such as MS Office suite, Power BI, and MySQL, to drive operational excellence, supply chain management, materials management, strategy, and planning.

His career journey started as a customer service specialist at Dell before transitioning to various management positions in Lazada, a leading e-commerce company in Southeast Asia. There, Melvyn served as the head of transport operations and performance management and later as a project manager and finance manager before transitioning to the position of interim ops manager.

He also worked as a regional manager of cross-border operations at Ninja Van, a Southeast Asian logistics company. Before his stint in logistics and e-commerce, Melvyn served as a strategic planning manager at Siteco and a product engineer and engineering change specialist at Jabil. He also worked as a financial planner at Great Eastern Life.
