Michael Waitze is an experienced technology, FinTech, and new media enthusiast with a passion for startups and investing in Southeast Asia. With a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College, he has an extensive background in the finance industry, having worked at several major firms such as Morgan Stanley, UBS Securities, Deutsche Bank, and Goldman Sachs. He later worked as Head of Execution Services at Macquarie Capital Securities and Head of Portfolio Trading at Nikko Citigroup. He has also served as an advisor, mentor, and advisory board member for various organizations such as Chiang Mai University, Digital Economy Promotion Agency, and Chain Accelerator.

Waitze has a particular expertise in portfolio trading and proprietary trading, as well as execution services, creating and implementing financial strategies, and working with clients in the tech industry. His experience has given him valuable insights into the unique challenges of the Southeast Asian market, and he is deeply involved in advising and investing in startups in the region. He is also a Vespa rider, podcast host, and founding partner and director of Metaliq Media.
