One of the main parts of my role is deal evaluation and execution. I touch all of the deals that we do in order to drive standardisation and consistency and also to get to know the founders. When possible I like to spend time with the portfolio companies and usually conduct a financial review to sense check the health of the business.

As well as this I also (through an outsourced team) look after the day to day financial and operational matters of the fund.

I act on a consultative basis providing financial and corporate finance services as well as general & strategic advice.

Reporting to the CFO I was responsible for M&A transactions, equity remuneration planning and structures, global tax planning, fund raising and ad-hoc project work. In my tenure there I led 3 bolt on acquisitions and was heavily involved in the sale to Symantec. I also led the raising of over £40m in debt including asset finance and senior debt.
