Ivy So is an accomplished strategy consultant with more than a decade of experience across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. She currently serves as the Senior Officer of Research & Learning at Fidelity Foundations, having previously held the Officer of Research & Strategy role. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School, where she earned an MBA, and Simon Fraser University, where she studied for a BBA. Ivy has worked with various social sector organizations, including Nonprofit Finance Fund, Acumen, and MaRS Center for Impact Investing, among others.
Ivy's career highlights include co-founding Impact Hub Ottawa, a social enterprise focused on catalyzing ideas into actions for a better world through co-working and community. Ivy's graduate work led to a published article on Stanford Social Innovation Review, 'How Impact Investors Actually Measure Impact,' which has since been cited over a dozen times, including in reports by the Rockefeller Foundation and European Commission. Ivy also has immense experience as a consultant, having worked at Deloitte, where she played a key role in initiating Deloitte Canada's Social Finance practice and provided analysis and recommendations to senior public and social sector clients.
Throughout her career, Ivy has gained expertise in strategic planning, financial modeling, ecosystem analysis, impact investment, and social finance. She has advised C-suite executives, foundations, nonprofit organizations, and impact investors on various projects. Ivy brings her passion for the social sector and her broad range of experience to her current role at Fidelity Foundations, driving research and learning initiatives to inform how to make the greatest impact through philanthropy.
