Arnaldo Pellini is a co-founder of Capability Oy, a Finnish consultancy focusing on problem-driven and adaptive approaches for democratic governance.
He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Tampere and has 18 years of experience in governance reforms in Southeast Asia and other regions.
Arnaldo has been a Research Associate at the Overseas Development Institute in London for the past decade, leading projects to enhance governance systems and democratic participation through research and analysis.
His research interests include problem-driven development, monitoring and evaluation systems, digital technologies' impact on governance, and democratic participation.
Arnaldo has published extensively on topics such as education in international development, governance, decentralization, and evidence-based policymaking, including being a co-editor of "Knowledge, Politics and Policymaking in Indonesia" (Springer 2018).
He is an Associate Editor at the journal Evidence & Policy and has a background in economic development and project planning.
Arnaldo Pellini has held various roles at the Overseas Development Institute, including Senior Research Fellow and Lead-Knowledge to Policy Learning at the Knowledge Sector Initiative.
Formerly, Arnaldo has also worked as a Specialist in Research Management and Policy Advocacy at UNDP and as a Local governance advisor at GTZ/DED.
